Dr. Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes Cavalcanti


Dr. Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes Cavalcanti was born on August 29 in 1831 in Jaguaretema in the State of Ceará and died on April 11 in 1900. He was monk, teacher, politician, and especially doctor.

During many years he was the President of the Spiritualist Association of Brazil (Espírita Federação Brasileira) and was called the "Brazilian Kardec" (Kardec was the founder of spiritualism in Europe).

He was a wonderful doctor who had offered his possessions for the healing of the poor and he was revered to as "the doctor of the poor."

Through Chico Xavier he is said to have told Joao (Chico Xavier has received this information as channel), that his place was in Abadiania.
